In trying to write this blog in English I hope finally able to start jabber a few words in this language. I will mobilise various tools for that my text be in accordance with the rules of grammar and spelling. Thanks for your corrections and comments.

Dear Lilian,

Sorry for the late of answer (you know why).

Currently, my life is in process of changing, big changes (intensive university resume, slight improvement of my health, etc) and, I must admit, it's a bit confuse (with many doubts).

Thanks you for your visit.

Abrasote, besote.

Krn,

MARILYN,

QUE AGRADO!!!

How are you my friend ?

Beso dulce

Momo,
For you, a song written by Guy de Maupassant, "chanson du rayon de lune"
Have a fine day.

Momo said...

Really, the moon is an inexhaustible subject.

Thank you, krn, it's a very delicat gift.

krn said...

Momo said...

It is a real pleasure to converse with you, Momo.
Thank you for your opened mind and your intelligence.

Lilian said...

Hello Friends!
I heard my name :)
KNR what do you know thanks to me? Were you referring to the meaning of "un abrazo"?
Good luck in your study dearest Momo and Abrazos for everybody--

And while the moon, unfazed, continues her incessant orbiting, our voices mix on these virtual pages. And we learn from one another.

These chats are indeed very pleasant and bring spice to my day.

Lilian, you must have very powerful ears...

¡Abrazos a todos!

... and before we know it, it's going to be the full moon again, offering itself for our amazement, wherever we may be in the world!

krn said...

What am I going to write if Doréus says exactly what I think?

Yes, Lilian, by reading your expressions, I grow rich, and making it, I get closer to you all to the point that I envisaged to translate my post " triskell " on which Cacho de Pan came.

French is a difficult language, this barrier prevents the other bloggers from understanding. Lilian's blog is a good example of solidarity to two communities.

Lilian said...

Doreus-- your words are so beautiful! They are poetic... I used to have better "ears" :) Seriously! I used to play guitar only "by ear"...

KNR-- I am so glad and honored that you've learned something through this via of communication! I would love to know French, and I admire people like you, Doreus, and Momo who can communicate in this language.
-------------
I am starting to feel as we were all in some kind of Moon Reverence Club :D

Saludos Momo!!

krn said...

Lilian, I sometimes look at your blog and I find admirable that you translate it.
I already invited myself at Dorés in Alberta to leave comments, now, I believe that I am going to write atLlilians's space too.

Let's thank Momo who allowed us to meet us under the moon

Momo said...

Krn, it's a pleasure for me too.

From "Moon Reverence Club" :-)

Momo said...

Wow ! Doreus, you are inspired !!!

I'm agree with Lilian, your last comment is very sensitive, and funny (I think above all at the "powerful ears", wouahaa).

Momo said...

Hello dear Lilian,

Mouac and b-E-S-I-K-I-S

Lilian said...

Hello Momo!
Muac Muac

Momo said...

Hey, Doreus, décidemment, tu déchires !

J'ai écouté ta conférence (sans rien comprendre) !!!!

Mais mes hommages !

J'suis fan !

Rhaaaa lovely !

krn said...

Lilian, I didn't look for "Muac" in my dictionary.

Momo said...

krn said...

Momo said...

krn said...

Y a-t-il des hérissons sourds ?
J'espère que les miens m'entendent...

krn said...

Momo said...

Momo said...

By the way, what was the topic of his conference?

krn said...

krn said...

La surdité.
Effectivement, pas un mot...
ça me fait beaucoup rire.

krn said...

Sorry Momo, I forgot to speak english. ça tue la mort...

Momo said...

I know this trick, but it removes the fear ?

Momo said...

http://journaldejogging.blogspot.com/2008/01/democritus.html

krn said...

No, it is not for removing the fear, but I suppose that when we speak very well, it's easier to be relaxed.

I always admire the speakers who indeed speak. It is the case with Doréus. We feel him very well.

krn said...

I didn't know that story with The eyes of Democrite.
I cant't prevent of laughing seeing your drawing.

Momo said...

Thank you very much for your advice, krn.

Yes, Doreus was amazing in this video.

we can be pride of him.

Good night.

Kiss

krn said...

Thank you, Momo.
Have sweet dreams.

... I tried answering somewhere around comment #26... but I was at work and the computer was not cooperating. Anyway... here I am again (while you probably all are asleep).

Thank you all for the compliments. It was a fun lecture. And by the way, the suit was olive green; not powder blue as it looks on the video. I do have better fashion sense than that!

Plus I wanted to add (but at this point it refers to a comment way back up there) that as I was writing my last comment, I was thinking that we had become something of a "moon club". After the "Moonlight Sonata", the "Moon Bloggers..."

And KRN is right. public speaking comes with practice. I have not had hedgehogs to practice with (although my cats sometimes try to practice with me when I rehearse songs for the choir). I was lucky enough to be a tour guide when I was in university, so I have had long years of experience... And so I no longer feel any qualms at speaking in front of a group.

The fear left when I realised that, regardless of who may be there, I happen to know stuff they don't... and they're there to get that information. So I see myself more as a conduit than a performer. That may be why I do feel stage fright when I sing in choir, but not when I speak up alone in front of 200 people. And in any case, public speaking is a very big part of my job... every day!

Never tried the pencil method for elocution... but I laughed at KRN's sentence!

Rest well, all. I am having a quiet evening: all marking is done... until I receive another pile tomorrow!

Momo said...

The comment #26 ? Where does you see a number ?

I like the analogy with the tour guide, it's a good image.

Somehow, public speaking is like to be a tour guide.

I can't sleep :-(

About the number of the comment, I just meant that the first time I tried to write my comment (which was much shorter then), if memory serves, there were 26 comments written.

And I sure hope you're sleeping as I write this.

Momo said...

Yes, finally I fell asleep, then I woke up, and now you are surely in process of sleep. Life is made of rhythm.

Day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night, day, night,...

krn said...

Momo, are you well?

krn said...

The life is made by rhythms, inspire, expire, inspire, expire, etc. because to the last one expir, the life goes away, and nevertheless, the night falls and the day gets up.

Momo said...

I will quote Doreus in response :

"And while the moon, unfazed, continues her incessant orbiting, our voices mix on these virtual pages. And we learn from one another."

Good morning dear Krn, how are you ?

:-)

krn said...

I am in my office and I see through the window, that the weather is cloudy.
I have some work, but I rather want to go to walk outside.

I think of the conference of Richard Gage in Geneva on November 11th.

krn said...

This morning, Doréus has still treated us with a recipe of chocolate.
But speak to me, please Momo, about your guinea-hen with oranges.

Anonymous said...

Good morning, all! Yes, I was asleep, and now am (barely) awake. It is cloudy here too, as it has been in the past few days, which is rare. We haven't had significant rain for at least 2 months...

Abrazos! TGIF!

krn said...

The night is already here and it rains.
Contrary to what you undergo in Alberta, in Normandy, the humidity is everywhere. 78 % of humidity at home. I have of to buy a device to dry up a little the air, it is now a little better, but if it continues to rain, it is a boat which I am going to buy.

You will laugh, the name of my village is "Barc"

Lilian said...

hahahaha :D ... that's quite funny KRN! "My house is in a village called Barc where it rains all the time"... how appropriate.

To be very honest, I truly find all of you absolutely adorable. It's a pleasure to visit this blog and read all your comments; there is something in all of you that I cannot describe very well because I can't still pinpoint, but is something like a mix of old spirits, big hearts, honesty, and perhaps purity.
Abrazos---

Momo said...

Lilian, about the "Moon Reverence Club" ....

Hum... these are really cute words... you made me blush, and all hedgehogs too.

Momo said...

Krn, your village make me think at Chiloe island, in the south of Chile (not far to Antarctic), one of the wettest places in the world.

And, Doreus, Red Deer make me think at San Pedro de Atacama, one of the driest places in the world.

The guinea-hen with oranges ? Ho, just a very very good meal (and cheap) after the swim in the very cold water, with the sing of the duck in the background (I like definitely much the cry of duck).

Momo said...

Momo said...

Lilian, "old spirits" ? But we love all the new technology, or not ?

Krn, who's this Richard Gage ? Will you come here (trough the LHC' black hole) ?

Lilian said...

Sorry Momo... I didn't mean to embarras you. What do you mean by "hedgehogs"?

Of course "new technology" dear Momo :)

Anonymous said...

Old kindred spirits united by new technology... Maybe KRN will be able to sort that one out. And yes, indeed, having a village named Barc in Normandy is quite funny.

krn said...

Momo, the problem is that the groundwater is at three feet under the garden. When it is raining, I am taken in sandwich between two waters, the water of underground and the water of the sky.
Trees like very much. I don't.
I remove 1 liter of water a day from the dehumidifier.

Richard Gage
I would really very want to attend this conference. Regrettably, I do not believe that I shall have the possibility of it. November is a month mattering in funeral and it is difficult to me to be absent just before the beginning of the trade show on the 11/13.

I shall have certainly the text of the conference by Richard Gage's association. What I shall not have, it is the pleasure to see you at the edge of the lake.

krn said...

Doréus, we also have one whose name is "Aviron"

Maybe we could envisage a collaboration.

Momo said...

You didn't embarras me, Lilian, probably it's a misunderstanding.

The imaginary hedgehogs in front of the Doreus' talk (read above).

Momo said...

Doreus, I agree, "old kindred spirits united by new technology"...

Krn, don't hesitate to take the LHC black hole, or the "barc" until Geneva. Today the weather was not bad, it was sunny.

Funeral ?

krn said...

Momo,I know how you don't like this, but you know that I work with gravediggers and undertakers, it is my job.
But i am not sad.

If that damned black hole could take me off up to Genève, I would throw myself in it blindly.

On the other hand, I am afraid that my "barc" sinks before having raised the rhône and I do not remember any more where I stored my buoy with head of duck, nor the evening dress which goes with.

Anonymous said...

Laughing my head off! Love the duck-headed buoy! And the evening dress!

Digging graves so close to the water table must not be fun...

And imagine that: the sun came back to visit us today in Alberta. Still no rain... We will probably get snow soon.

And if Aviron were nearer Barc, maybe it could carry you over to the LHC wormhole... and then over to another dimension! Would that not be "out of this world"?

And I'm done my teaching week... I have a truckload of marking to do over the weekend, but will not be back in class until Wednesday. *Big sigh of relief!*

Momo said...

Doreus, I don't understand all that you say, but it seem that you are increasingly poetic.

Krn, I'm relieved that you feel glad, and that you have a large and pretty lime tree in your garden, even if you are in sandwich between the clouds up and the groundwater.

Did you like the poems about the rain in your blog ?

krn said...

Yes, I like them. I like poetry.

I am glad, but quite nervous, this night. I cannot go to bed.

Momo, I have two lime trees. They are very close to my house. I live in their shadows.

krn said...

I suppose that " truckload of marking " means a lot of work to annotate the work of the students.

Doréus will not go in class, but he must work at home.

Anonymous said...

Translation (sorry, that was a stream-of-consciousness comment):

krn said...

Doréus, I didn't digg any grave in my life. I just supply to those who do it their equipment.

What is not funny, it is that during the demonstrations, pits are practically always "occupied".

We do that job not only in Normandy, but in all the north-west of France.

Anonymous said...

Somehow, KRN, I did not picture you digging graves yourself. And I can imagine that in a country with a long history of human occupation like France, you must have some "surprises" digging graves.

krn said...

No surprises, Doréus.

Only the rests of those who were forgotten.

When we are obliged to dig up, I pray so that this person found the peace.

Oblivion is the true death.

krn said...

Very soon,
the full moon.

Demystify it, as we see it from the Earth, it's just a small balloon which goes into your tea spoon.

Anonymous said...

That's it, KRN. Now, you're the one taking the words from my mouth!

Momo said...

Thank you, krn, to remember the next full moon.

What do you mean about the spoon ?

Can you explain me in french ?

It enough some days without practice English for that my English go away.

Momo said...

By the way, Doreus, thank you for the translation.

I've not been enough time to answer you before.

Anonymous said...

De rien Momo. I understand. I feel the same way about Spanish some days: too much effort for my overworked brain.

KRN was making rhymes (rimes) with the sound "oon":

Translation (bête et littérale):

Très bientôt,
La pleine lune

Démystifiez-là, telle que nous la voyons de la Terre, elle n'est qu'un ballon qui va dans votre cuillère à thé.

And KRN, your verses make me swoon... See you soon! ;P

Momo said...

You are too kind :-)

krn said...

Doréus, I have nothing to add, we perfectly understood.

Momo, you forget only for a moment, because your mind is busy somewhere else. What is learnt does not fade so fast.

For example, I thougt everything of the Castillan was forgotten, learnt to the school and never used since, I was sure not to be able to write more than "buenos dias" and nevertheless, reading you, Lilian, Tomas, Ale and Cacho de Pan, the words come back in my mind. Even if I often have a dictionary near me to read.

Momo, I allow to correct your sentence. Instead of "I've not been enough time to answer you before" You may say "I had not enough time to answer you before"

Have you still a lot of work ? can I help you ?
