Ooooooooh ?
By the way, thank you, krn, for teach me the art of asciii.
Momo, remember, all that story began by a smiley.
It is very beautiful, as hundreds of small moons inside the true moon.
You know, Momo, " Oooooooh! " is what says my granddaughter when she sees the moon in the sky.
She is two years old and looks systematically the sky when we go out at night.
If the moon is hidden, she says it too.
" it is not there, the moon "
Momo is mooning us!
(O.K., that was a bad pun and I am teaching Momo foul language)
Gorgeous.
You might also want to check out this picture that was published in the Lethbridge Herald, a newspaper from Southern Alberta.
Less romantic, this picture of 1969, the flag without shadow.
In fact, here is the true flag, but it already had no shadow.
For Momo, a very beautiful full moon.
Good night to all of us.
Thanks, Doreus and krn, for the links.
Doreus, very romantic.
Krn, don't you want to say "without wind" ?
Thanks, krn, for share the beautiful moon.
Good night !
:-)
Besos Momo
I have many capacities, Momo, but not that one to see the wind.
I don't see if there is wind on the moon.
But I see no shadow of the flag on the ground of the moon.
(Subtitling)
This song is attractive too, Marilyn, and romantic as the photo of Doréus.
;-)
Nice pictures, KRN.
Slight correction: "The photo from Doréus", as the picture (or its link) was sent by me, but the picture does not represent me (as a photo of me would imply).
And now, good night to all!
Yes, Doréus, You are right.
It's a thoughtlessness, because I know that. I would need to speak english every day so that it is an automatism.
I was so busy with the castillan one that I forgot to pay attention to the english sentence which seemed to me less difficult.
Sleep quietly, we are woken.
Momo, " to pay attention to " means " have the mind concentrated on "
We must pay attention to our work, if we want it to be well done.
Bono box ? Why ?
Besito de miel
krn,
The ONU's flag isn't a clumsyy photoshop trick ?
Do you know the Marilin's song ?
Can I have a youtube's link ?
Very big kiss for you, krn.
Delayed Good night, Doreus.
Momo,
I have no youtube link but it's possible to hear que bonita luna
It is the words of the song that I find romantic, because the music is very dynamic and very attractive all the same.
Do you know how to dance on this music, Momo?
Ho ! What a swing !
Chac chacachac, chac chacachac...
And what kind of web site is it ?
Hum... to tell the truth, Merengue isn't totally my cup of tea.
Otherwise, indeed, I prefer the couple's dances.
That's more human and more honest than individual dances.
What about you ?
It is an exportable reader. With it, you can put this music on a blog. It is what I made on "Le Chevreuil Blanc" (but not with this music !)
I also think that the dance is a social relationship and I conceive it only in couple.
And, to tell the truth, (as you) I really like very much dancing.
Where are you going dance ? And what kind of dance do you like ?
Chacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachacachaca....Boumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboumboum, yeaaaaaaah !
\(^o^)/
I have to say that I have a soft spot for zouk, but I also like paso doble, waltz (even Viennese) lambada... all which can be danced, and naturally the slow dance which is a true dance and not only a standing about for two.
To ask me where I go to dance is not the good question.
The good question is "With whom can I dance ?"
Momo, music has always this effect on you ?
Chachachachachachachachachachachachachachacha
chachachacha, yeaaaaaaah !
Thanks for share this chachacha with me, krn
\(^o^)/
You are irresistible, Momo.
And you, where are you going to dance?
(don't tell me between the refrigerator and the sofa...)
We dance always between a thing and another thing, Krn, this is our damnation, but also our grace.
At this precise moment, I dance between my two ears.
Thank you, Momo, for this good-humoured lesson.
I am going to go to dream about this bewitching cha cha cha.
Good night, handsome partner.
Handsome ?
Here is an interesting new word !
Good night, dear krn, I wish you a gold dreams.
Yes, Momo. Handsome. You are (especially on that picture).
And it's particularly good to see you in a positive, music-induced, mood.
Hello Doréus, I was delighted too.
Momo, you can go to this page to see various definition and also the pronunciation of this new word. You can hear it, and many others too.
Thank you for your wishes, Momo, unfortunatly, I remember nothing.
Doreus, thus we are both, we are both handsome. Welcome at the club of handsome people :-)
Krn, very interesting page, from now I think I'll use that as tool (the pronunciation is very practice).
Momo, It is very true that Doréus and you are both handsome people.
I hope, that when Doréus will be in Europe, I'll have the privilege to have these both handsome men near me.
My neighbours are going to die of jealousy.
About the ONU's flag, I forgot to answer. Of course, it's a fake.
Very emblematic gesture, krn.
You think that I put this flag voluntarily instead of the other one to mean that the moon belongs to all the nations ?
If I had to choose, I would have put no flag, to mean that the moon is free.
Yes, we said the same thing about Antarctica, but now Antarctica is like a cake slices, so we can hope that the moon will stay free.
Momo, we are optimistic idealists. No doubt that if the moon contains mineral resources, in less than a century, the exploitation of these resources will begin.
I hope to be reincarnated on another planet, green and peacefull, as Paco Rabanne.
Paco Rabanne ? What do you mean ?
Of course, each mission into the space should be on behalf of the world, the life, not on behalf of some nations.
Inchallah !
I do not wish to be in a spatial program, Momo, I already aam afraid of planes !
I wish to be reborn for another life, somewhere else than on this Earth.
I believe moreover that the Earth is not my planet of origin, but this is a long story.
Paco Rabanne said: " it is my last embodiment on the Earth, my next life will be on another planet ".
Why Inchallah ?
Thanks for the compliments, you two!
And yes, the moon is but the next step for exploitative humans... unfortunately.
Inchallah = Si dieu le veux.
Doreus, the moon or particle physics, or consciousness, mind, cognitive science, molecular revolutions
Next step explorative human maybe will be in the near and in the very, very very very small.
Momo, have you some information which we ignore ?
I vote personally for this program:
Man will be human and responsible.
A one and only law: love.
I think that the science is fewer and fewer in the service of the well-being and more and more in the service of the profitability.
Of course, Momo, we are right.
I think I'll invite the two of you when I start teaching my course in the history of medicine, to be titled "Health and the Healer in History".
Certainly, Doréus.
Yes, I could talk about my experience with the soup of nettles, dandelion salads, with winter baths, urinotherapy and above all about my disappointment of the modern scientific medecine.
Good night everybody.
Muac
Good night to you all.
I'm done marking the term papers for one course. Now, I'll have dinner and go home to mark another batch!
Blech!
Oh well! That's part of the job.
It is daylight and I read again what has been said this night. Very dense.
Momo, your natural experiences(I don't know if I shouldn't say experiments) must effectively be very interesting.
They have the merit to be different of mine, except for the bathing, that I had practiced less assidument.
Go on, Doréus, You are on the right track.
What is corrested is not to be corrected any more.
sensacional
Monsier MoMo!
Gracias C.L. :-) !
Are you sleeping, Momo ?
If not, you can go to see on Brainstorming, Patton put a message for you on the expression " heading "
If yes, good night.
I was in a big christmas party, there were a lot beautiful and elegant persons, but it was very boring !
I'll go see Patton's blog.
Momo, you are right! The "correct" way of saying it is "otherwise". However, in everyday speech, many Anglophones (at least around here) will say "if not".
And I avoid big, boring parties. Every year, there are a couple of those at the college, and I gracefully fail to appear. I would much rather have a quiet evening with friends where we can talk and have good food (and wine).
Doréus, I like very much your way of speaking about these parties.
Yes, Momo, the correct expression would have been " If you don't " in that case. I used " If not " as a shortcut, as we often do when speaking.
I sometimes forget that you are not English-speaking. It became so natural.
And, hum...by speaking about a husband, I would evoke rather hell than heavens...
Doreus, we are the same feeling about parties, me too, I would much rather have a quiet evening with friends where we can talk and have good food, but above all, for the good talk (in the parties it's impossible talk).
Krn, I would like already speak and understand, but I'm still a beginner. Last week I spoke during 30 minutes with an american girl, and she understood me (even if I spoke very very slowly). She said me that I'm already an English-speaker.
What do you mean about husbands ?
Momo, you are not any more a beginner. You speak much better that certain students who go out of the high school diploma.
So much the better that this American girl said it to you.
By english-speaking I meant of english mother tongue.
Sorry, momo, my english is not always academic, I spoke for my job with simple, labor or truck drivers, and I learnt of them some expressions.
About husbands, i'll say just that :
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. You know that.
When I say it, I mean people often intend to do good things but, much of the time, the notion of what is good is different from a person in the other one.
What people sometimes takes for indifference is simply respect for the freedom of the other one.
Thanks for these all explanations, krn :-)
That's all ? You don't say if you agree with me or if you don't.
Do you think I'm an indiferent person?
But I like your smile. (oh I should say smiley ?)
Mind you, KRN, Hell! My husband! is an expression that would work...
And yes, often, good intentions turn to the worse in relationships.
And Momo, don't be ashamed of your proficiency in English. You just need to practice!
Thank you, Doréus, the Saxon have finally a nearest notion of what is marriage.
From my own experience on " married for the best and the worst " I shall say that the best, we discover it during the time of the honeymoon and the worst, we discover its increasing extent during all the rest of the time.
Thanks for your clever intervention, Doreus.
Ahem... krn... are you angry ?
I agree with all you said, and my observation about the word "otherwise" was just for share with you my latest discover.
With tenderly
Angry ? You make fun ? I thank you for your interest for what I write and I takes I even a lot of pleasure to read you.
What may I do ? Can you understand in which point I feel well when I speak with you ?
I was reading your "jogging monologue" and i am very happy, because now I know how to find you if Internet fails.
My jogging monologue ? Ho, it's an old story !
But I'm very honored that you read my first steps with the English language.
What did you think about the heron ?
The great grey heron in the middle of the way ?
The same thing happened to me, but I had no dictaphone, but a camera.
I managed to capture it as it flew near the water tower.
Oh!
Oops! Forgot to speak English. Let's start this over: Oh! It's a party in Europe! It'a a bit early for alcohol on this side of the Atlantic... especially since I must now get started on the weekly house-cleaning that I neglected doing last week because of the papers I had to mark.
Yes, Momo's English has gone much further... while his jogging has become swimming!
I so enjoy seeing you in good spirits.
As for the grappa... one of those days... All I have is (mostly red) wine in the cellar.
Yes, the heron in the middle of the way.
Momo, do you want to see my heron ?
It is now on my blog.
93. And you can contribute to creating a collective fable, as I know you like these texts!
I saw your heron, krn, and it made me happy, thanks to share your heron with us. I like very much the herons. They are so magic.
95 Doreus, regarding the English I've many doubt lately, thanks for your encouragement, I need that.
I would like that the good spirit will stay for all my life.
96... except for fishes
97 for fishes ?
The good spirit will stay for your life, Momo, you are the one who deserves this grace.
The heron is a fishing bird (99 ?)
99 Ho, krn, your words give me a lot serenity, thanks very much.
Je reviens plus tard.
Bec
I'll wait for you.
Bec, too
Bise
I see that you like very much birds.
You are yourself a bird of the night.
I was right to say that you were a kind of golden owl.
Yes, really, I think that one of my favorit animals is the goose.
Golden owl ? When ? I forgot that.
Really ? I have no link, it was a private conversation.
It seem very pagan this name...
It was just a reference to a treasure hunt in which I was interested with passion. An owl made of gold and silver hiden somewhere in France.
It is very rare and precious, you see what I mean ? No one knows where it is. I have an idea but...
Bonne nuit, krn
But ?
But I am not the only one to search.
Good night, Momo.
Muac
Keeping with the bird theme, there is an English expression that says: "Birds of a feather flock together", a rough equivalent of «Qui se ressemble s'assemble». I think it is pertinent to this blog and to the relationships it has generated.
Good night you all (or good morning when you read this).
Good morning, Doreus :-)
Thus we are all crazy of birds, even if you prefer cats ...
Did you see my goose ?
It is magnificent.
Is it a wild goose? I saw only white ones
It's a grey goose (une oie cendrée).
They aren't afraid of people ?
No, they aren't.
Really, I love the goose.
And now, I will go to the beach, weather is nice, and the water is only at 6,5 degrées (last time I swam, the water was at 5 degrées).
Good bath, Momo, think of me, I have only my shower and I believe that I begin to envy you.
I understand you, krn, because it's really a big privilege to be wrapped by the nature and to go to bath every day of year (5 minutes from my home).
It's a very tonic experience, and I'm never ill (at least, until today).
It's strange, because I can read, you and Doreus, without any dificult, but it's very dificult read others texts (it's very frustrating).
What is the difference between your writing and the writing of others ?
It's Ok that you can take advantage of this wild water for your well-being. I don't imagine bathe in the river because there are people which pour its dirty waters in it.
Do you mean that you try to read other texts tabt you can't understand? In books or magazines?
I think I must now look at my keyboard when I write, otherwise, you will undestand nothing at my texts too.
"Tabt" ? I wanted to write "that".
The phone ringed and I wanted to hurry. That's stupid.
Good morning!
I missed your goose Momo. Can't find it. Where's the link?
And yes, what is it in our texts that makes them more legible? Are you trying to read users' manuals written in China by Bengalese writers using Google translation? Or are you trying to read quantum mechanics?... :)
Quick correction KRN, "the phone rang". It's one of those darned irregular verbs.
And now, for breakfast.
And I cannot go eat without telling you how much I enjoy your company, both of you, even though it's virtual. A big hug goes your way.
Yes, you are right Doréus.
To ring, rang, rang. I forgot.
Besides, if I heard it , that would certainly have made me raise an ear (or an eyebrow) .
Thank you, Doréus, you are a real friend and we also appreciate you.
krn, this kind of text for exemple (it's really incomprehensible):
"The word is played around with, the voice is played around with. But the basic material that the voice is playing with, has gotten much, much--much, much sparser. Still, the titles have been somewhat elaborate. The last piece I did, actually, was an installation in Hambourg, and that is probably the first installation without sound--if we don't count that ladder wall-drawing, which was very specifically designed for a drawing show. It made sens to me as a drawing; now this is a way to approach line and wall. But that's very specific. The piece in Hamburg was probably the first installation I did without--.without sound. But it did have an elaborate title".
----
People use still the river for pour out dirty water ? I can't believe you !!! Where go the world ?
Momo, the problem is not with you! This text is replete with grammatical and syntaxic errors and makes little sense to me either!
How was the daily swim?
Doreus, the goose' link is in the hundred third comment, at 21 december at 2:42 AM.
I don't understand why I can understand very well your comments, but not the others texts.
Maybe we use the same words here ?
Your text makes reference to something which is difficult to understand in any language. It is probably about a show and about a decoration of this one. It is necessary to be there and to see what occurs to understand everything. this is not current english it is an extreme.
Thanks, Doreus, for your explanation (I'm relieved).
My daily swim was very delightful and delicious, I'm really addict.
Well done, Krn, you have used, very pertinently, the word "otherwise".
Despite my level, sometimes I arrive to teach some word at some persons wich speak very well English language.
With you, I learn very fast, Momo, but I have to admit it to you, I already knew this word, but I am as the fox of St Exupéry, " otherwise " will now always return me towards you.
Don't speak of your level, you are pretty good.
KRN, mon texte? Which one?
Momo, the excerpt you put up is not poetic nor metaphoric. It is badly written English. It resembles the kind of jargon that too often appears in "artist's statements" where the complexity of the text tries -- vainly -- to hide the fact that there is no substantial content behind it.
By contrast, the French text posted by KRN is complex, but correct French. «Ampoulé» (pompous) indeed.
The English text you quoted is «abscons» (abtruse) in the true sense; I tried translating into French and could not. It's not because it has a mysterious power... but because there is no substance to translate. Just random words.
I just found the goose. Indeed, superb bird. The kind we find more often out here is the aptly named «Canada goose» (bernache in French). Geese (the plural form of goose) are indeed beautiful and fascinating birds.
I will always remember a visit my parents and I made to a wildlife refuge in Abitibi where there was a goose that had become attached to a cow. Long story here, but to make it short, because the cow she loved was close to the path where we were about to walk she was blocking the path, and making herself quite frightening. These birds stand nearly a metre tall... The guide gently pushed her aside with a long stick for us to pass through.
Doréus, It is this text which reminded me in the language of the primary school teachers which go out of the iufm by speaking as UFO-visitors.
Your goose is very beautiful. Isn't this goose that we also call "outarde" ?
Yes, indeed, it is often referred to as an «outarde».
IUFM?
I love the logorrhea quote!
IUFM = Institut Universitaire de Formation des Maitres.
Krn, the fox ? Which one ?
Thanks for the goose's links, Doreus. Very, very, very beautiful bird. Don't you prefer have some goose at home ?
KRN, I can only wonder how you found this strange text (which I had no trouble locating). It's absolutely disgusting prose.
Momo, I would not want to deprive such a beautiful bird of its freedom. I know, I have cats, and their freedom is limited, but they can adapt to their situation easier than birds, which are made for absolute freedom, could. I take satisfaction in admiring their flocks in their yearly migration cycles, and I can see them up close when they pause in farmers' fields on the way.
les chaussettes ?
Of course, Doreus, but you don't desire to caress them ? I think my cats have souffer a lot because they didn't living in the nature, and I was a children (I think the cats hate the children).
I sent you a mail, Momo.
Yes, KRN, it's sometimes strange what we stumble upon when doing google searches.
And Momo, I'm not frustrated. I found the text and read it.
I do prefer petting my cats to petting a goose (although it would probably be fun to do so). However, geese don't purr... that I know of!
I just wrote out another recipe for the blog... to be published tonight at the usual time (midnight my time). Enjoy!
When the adversity engenders this kind of things, we can feel only a profound sadness. I am so sorry that the words miss me to express it.

Momo, these are beautiful geese indeed.
KRN, words fail me as they do you. There is a lot of pent-up anger around. We must not let that bring our spirits down! Let them soar like geese towards nicer climes!
